Put all your fears, your fires, your family into the mouth of Final Fantasy

I love Final Fantasy. This video is for a song off of one of two new eps, Spectrum, 14th Century. The other ep is put out by States Rights Records and a newly emerging and creepy entity entitled the Slender Means Society. Perhaps this new group is just putting a name to an already incestuous and pillaging musical friendship scene?

There's only a few snippets of Owen and is paired with what looks like a video suffering from of Montreal's bad bad bad video syndrome. Baby Owen merchildren? Levitating children and candles and triangles... I guess it is A-okay.

I have a killer headache. But that's not really keeping me from listening to this on repeat. I think Heartland is going to be super good. And I'm so into hearing Mr. Pallet say the words Final Fantasy in his song. I love it.

leda's singalong

The worst thing about being sick is that I can't sing along to songs. At all. Nothing comes out.

In other news, it's going to be alright, Kathy. And I'll see you, Owen Ashworth, this Wednesday. Get ready! Roberta C. Maybe Holly Hobby. I'm not going to decide for him.

love always, camille

No other woman had such an intellectual, artistic and erotic impact on Rodin's life like Camille Claudel. Soon after Rodin met her in a sculpture class, previously supervised by his colleague Boucher, Camille became his pupil, model, assistant and lover.

During a decade, she helped Rodin create the Gates of Hell and The Burghers of Calais and also realised a number of works in her own right. After her separation from Rodin, who would not give up his ties with Rose Beuret, Camille further developed her own style of narrative sculpture.

Only since the rediscovery of her work and talent in the 1980s, especially by the efforts of Reine Marie Paris, Camille's biography has been studied more thoroughly and not only with regard to her liaison with Rodin: she was one of the rare female artists of the 19th century that could and did compete with the best male sculptors of her time.

9 Stories

I love JD.

“Oh, I’m dying to see her. Who does she look like now?”

Eloise struck a light. “Akim Tamiroff.”

“No, seriously.”

“Lew. She looks like Lew. When his mother comes over, the three of them look like triplets.” Without sitting up, Eloise reached for a stack of ashtrays on the far side of the cigarette table. She successfully lifted off the top one and set it down on her stomach.
“What I need is a cocker spaniel or something,” she said. “Somebody that looks like me.”
